Thor 2 The Dark World

I found the time to go see the new Thor yesterday. I enjoyed the movie. There was some decent action. The vehicles used by the dark elves and the Asgardians were pretty cool to see. I had an “OMG!” moment when I saw Chuck in the movie(Zachary Levi). Sure it was predictable…but it’s a comic book movie. I did find it a bit funny when Thor and Heimdal are talking.

***POSSIBLE SPOILERS OF NO MAJOR CONSEQUENCE*** I’m paraphrasing here…

Thor: I need your help.
Heimdal: Sure, but I refuse to commit treason.
Thor: I need you to commit treason.
Heimdal: No problem.

Another little something that made me think, “really?!” was when Darcy (Kat Dennings) asks “What was that?” You see, one moment she is with some kids throwing bottles and shoes through a portal and watching it come out of another portal (there were no orange and blue rings, no). Thirty minutes later a flock of birds goes through a similar portal and exit to which she asks, “What was that?” Seriously?!

So aside from a few situations like that and the lack of surprise to the plot, I enjoyed the movie. I liked the first one more (unlike X-men and Spider-man) but this one is still definitely worth seeing.
