Guardians of the Galaxy 2.5 Minute Movie Trailer

Push play and throw this baby on full screen! The trailer looks interesting. I’ve read hundreds of comics but I don’t recall reading any Guardians of the Galaxy.

I noticed Benicio Del Toro is going to be reprising his role as Taneleer Tivan AKA The Collector. Don’t remember him? Go rewatch [Thor 2 The Dark World] and go to the end of the credits. Don’t be fooled a few seconds into the credits with the first extra scene. Go all the way to the end.

Ever since I saw the end of the [Avengers] with Thanos, I knew the Infinity Gauntlet would come into play eventually. IG #3 is one of the first comics I ever owned. Don’t ask me why I bought #3 of 6, I was 10 years old in 1991. Anyway, I read an article (sorry don’t have a link) shortly after the Avengers movie and the writer said that there could not be a proper Infinity Gauntlet movie unless the Guardians of the Galaxy were introduced. They said that such a movie was unlikely to be made because the franchise was not well known. Well it seems like that guy was wrong. Of course this movie doesn’t appear to be about the gauntlet but perhaps by the time the 3rd Avengers movie comes out, we’ll be ready.

I’m excited to see Special Agent Bert Macklin (AKA Andy Dwyer AKA Chris Pratt) will be playing Starlord. I don’t know who Starlord is just yet (I may wiki later) but I’m glad to see him in a starring role. At first I found the character of Andy Dwyer a bit annoying on Parks and Recreation but that show grew on me and that character really had some development and he’s one of my favorites on the show.
