It is Here and This Time It’s For Real! Back to the Future Day

If you’re like me, you’ve seen it show up on your Facebook wall about every 6 months for the last 3-5 years.  People photoshopping a date and seeing how many likes/shares they can get.  Well my friends, in Back to the Future Part II, they time travel to October 21, 2015 and today is that day!

So why should you care?  Well if you didn’t watch the movie then I guess it really doesn’t matter.  So no hoverboards yet but that’s ok for those of us old enough to drive.

Toyota has a video showing Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox discussing the future tech from the BTTF 2 movie. They also get to see a car powered by fuel similar to the Mr Fusion used in the movie…sorta.  Vork from The Guild had a cameo appearance.  Check it out:

I was actually planning to rewatch the movie and/or the entire trilogy today because hey, why not?  I don’t remember the movie that well and I think it’d be fun to see what today was imagined to look like back in the 80s.  The Back to the Future 30th Anniversary Trilogy is available on DVD and Blu-ray over on Amazon.  Click here to see the current price and availability.
