Warcraft the Movie Cast Revealed

That’s right! The Warcraft movie is a go. Not only that but I’m told the movie was already filmed (over a period of 129 days). So why the March 2016 release? Well rumor has it that the movie is being delayed on release because there’s already too many blockbusters coming in 2015. How many movies? A few…

  • Star Wars Episode VII
  • Avengers 2: Age of Ultron
  • Jurassic World
  • Mad Max 4: Fury Road
  • Teminator 5: Genisys
  • Hunger Games 3: Mockingjay
  • Jupiter Ascending
  • Ant-man
  • Fantastic Four
  • Pan

There’s also a bunch of other movies coming out but those are the movies where we’ll see big numbers at the box office for sure. But this post isn’t about those other movies. It is about Warcraft: the movie. So what’s it about? Well the first movie is going to be about the Orcs and Humans first coming into conflict with each other. The movie’s story has been written to show both sides of the war. For the Human Alliance we have Lothar and the Orcish Horde gets Durotan.

Travis Fimmel (Ragnar from Vikings) will be playing Lothar, Toby Kebbell will be Durotan, Ben Foster will be Medivh, Rob Kazinsky will be playing Orgrim, Daniel Wu will be Gul’dan, Clancy Brown will be playing Blackhand, Ben Schnetzer will be Khadgar, Paula Patton is Garona, Ruth Negga will be Lady Taria, and Dominic Cooper will be King Llane.

I’m excited about the movie. I first found Warcraft in 1995 with Warcraft II. It looks like a number of the people working on the movie are/were Warcraft gamers. Check out the Warcraft Movie Panel at Blizzcon here:

When you get done with that you can support the [Alliance] or [Horde]. Choosing a side will allow WoW gamers to “DOWNLOAD AN EXCLUSIVE ALLEGIANCE PACK TO SHOW THE WORLD WHOSE SIDE YOU ARE ON.” What say you? Will you stand proud beneath the banner of Stormwind and crush the Horde menace or will you stand defiant in the face of destruction and unleash the full power of the Horde!

What do you think?
